In all of these types of radiation the diffraction is consistent with Bragg’s law, which correlates the structure of solids from the direct to the reciprocal space, graphically represented by the Ewald sphere. After the interaction with the solids a diffraction pattern (DP) is generated. These different forms of radiation are accelerated at high energies, in ranges of thousands of electron-volts (keV). Structure of solids, including crystals, complex, structures, and amorphous materials, is mainly analyzed by ionizing radiation, which is classified into three groups: charge particles (electrons), photons (x-rays), and noncharged particles (neutrons).
